ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Such a gorgeous morning in Newmarket. I knew it was going to be an absolute scorcher of a day and so I was out at first light, just in time to photograph this speedy hare nipping over the Moulton Road in the gentle rising mist. I didn’t have much time to hang around, and had to make some very swift changes to the camera settings to freeze him in action! I love the snaking road that carries the viewer through the scene and the sense of intrigue into the mist. And, to top it all off, the first of one of the strings of horses creeping into the frame top right. This detail gives real context to the location of the photograph. Newmarket – the home of horseracing.
