ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In South Fakarava, French Polynesia, I dived in the night with the resident grey reef sharks. It was one of the most exhilarating dives I have ever done. These sharks behaved completely differently in the pitch darkness of the night. In the day, the grey reef sharks were placid and were distant from scuba divers. When night fell, the sharks switched to hunting mode and were robust, agile and had absolutely no regard for my personal space. It also presented very good opportunities to photograph these magnificent creates in their heightened state, before the backdrop of the dark waters.
