Abstract: Honorable Mention 2020 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I loved the abstract qualities of this spiral staircase at the Ralli Museum in Caesaria, and explored it for long until I found this angle in which the 2 dimensional projection of the scene on my cameras sensor resembled a woman's portrait with long flowing hair.
AUTHOR
Self-taught Photography artist, specializing in minimalistic and abstract views of the world around us. In my works I attempt to eliminate the minor distractions out of the visual-environmental wealth and expose the underlying building blocks of reality – The shapes, forms and colors surrounding us. This is my way of showing that all objects are created from the same basic elements. Whether its water, trees and mountains, or buildings and plowed fields, they all maintain an undeniable underlying connection, which is clearly revealed once the noise surrounding them is peeled off.
My works are characterized by high precision geometric qualities, symmetry and a flare for aesthetics. They refine the complicated world into clear shapes, forms and patterns, resulting in a thought provoking celebration for the mind and eye.
