Nature: Honorable Mention 2020 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photograph was captured on a hike in the Eastern Sierras in early June. At 9,500 feet above sea level, wildflowers had yet to bloom, but many of the mountain plants were sprouting up along the lakes and streams. I marveled at the light dancing through the leaves and aimed to capture Mother Nature’s mix of the late afternoon sunlight and the winding, almost elegant structure of the leaves.
