Photojournalism: Honorable Mention 2020 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Imprisonment institutions were photographed from a high viewing point and the series of the photos are conceived as a confrontation with the prosiness:although the prison is the opposite meaning of freedom, here it symbolizes a freedom in flight. Some negative impressions are made while flying above. The depressive moods are created within understanding that any human being is in need of simple everyday activities. That is how existential as well as social exclusion questions are being raised.
The codes and pressmarks in the photographs might be deciphered by reading graphical figures and shapes created indirectly. However, the question is“Is it really us who are outside the walls and free?”
