Portrait: Honorable Mention 2020 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Traditionally members of the Suri tribe would use rocks and water to create a paint and decorate their bodies in preparation for a ceremony or special event. In more recent times in some villages their body art and use of natural plants in fashion statements has become more intricate and detailed. They are a beautiful remote community in South West Ethiopia next to the border of South Sudan.
