Wildlife: Honorable Mention 2020 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Bimini, Bahamas, is a great location for observing Great Hammerhead sharks. For this shot I waited patiently in the sand for this amazing creature to swim so close to me that I could see her rows of teeth. The shark's dark fins contrast nicely against the sunlit water. The rows of white teeth contrast against the darkness inside the shark's mouth, and the sun casts a hammer shadow in the sand.
