Architecture: Honorable Mention 2021 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Famous for its vertiginous towers, the Dalle des Olympiades is located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Although its initial ambition was to attract young working Parisians, the real estate project did not meet its expected success as so far as it quickly became a destination for Cambodian refugees fleeing the atrocities of their political regimes. Today, "Les Olympiades" enjoys a perfect social mix and stands as an emblematic testimony of Parisian urban planning operations led in the 1970s.
