AUTHOR
Lance Patrick is a self-taught photographer specializing in fine art images. He is influenced by the work of Victor Skrebneski, Helmut Newton, Ruth Bernhard, Edward Weston, and others. Pressl often views the world through the lens of a sculptor, blending his love of classical sculpture with contemporary forms and settings. He is fascinated by the human form and frequently uses traditional and nontraditional representations to capture the curiosity of his audience. A common feature of his work is the juxtaposition of a nude figure with a single inanimate object--typically a found object--to reveal new and unexpected connections among lines, shapes, forms and shadows. Simplicity and pureness of form are central to his artistic vision. His work has been recognized and presented in juried exhibitions, international competitions and fine art magazines.
