ENTRY DESCRIPTION
My Photographic artwork explores the relationship between traditional techniques of photography and leather puppetry. My photographic artwork influenced by several photography artists like Borut Peterlin, Adhya Ranadireksa and Maestro Dalang Asep Sunandar. these photographs present simple visuals using complex and exploratory techniques, as well as the puppeteer who seems to hypnotize the audience by playing the leather puppet characters.
Since the beginning of my career as an artist, I did a lot of exploring the medium of photography, especially in traditional printing techniques with simple visuals and I often include elements of local culture in my artworks. I enjoyed exploring the meeting area between the two scientific points, such as art and literature, which eventually become a basis for my artwork.
The search for new meanings from the merger of the two sciences and presenting them in the form of photography is a concept of my photographic artwork. on this occasion I made a plate measuring 8 x 10 using the wet plate collodion technique

Mick Siregar born in Bandung Indonesia . Mick Siregar only likes Analog Photography , especially Black and White Photography . Mick Siregar have been studying Wet Plate Collodion in recent years , Mick Siregar interest in wet plate collodion is due to its unique process . in Indonesia it is not easy to get plain collodion or other materials . Initially Mick Siregar was taught by a friend , in the last two years mick siregar tried to make his own plain collodion . in this Work , Mick Siregar tries to immortalize one of Dorna's puppet characters . Dorna is a character in Wayang . Mick Siregar tries to combine this unique character with a photography technique that he thinks is unique too .
