Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2021 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This beautiful little tree appears to grow straight out of the rock on the footpath down to Babbacombe Beach in Devon. I had timed my visit to this location for a sunrise shoot at high tide to make the most of the early light and the sea washing around the bottom of the steps, but as is often the case a low cloud base prevented any direct light so working with the conditions decided a long exposure black and white photograph would work best.
AUTHOR
Photography and the great outdoors are my passion and through the medium of photography I try to create beautiful and extraordinary landscape and seascape pictures using professional Fujifilm and Mamiya medium format cameras both digital and analogue.
I am lucky enough to live on the North Devon coast which I find hugely inspirational and influences much of my photography.
The southwest of England has been my home for most of my life and I have a real love for this part of the country, but on the odd occasion I traveling a bit further afield in search of new locations to photograph.
