Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2021 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Picture was taken during a trip to Crete (Greece) on the Spinalonga Island which was used as a leper colony from 1903 to 1957.
The patients did not know what was going to happen to them once they arrived.
They where isolated untill death. Spinalonga was one of the last active leper colonies in Europe. I was trying to show the atmosphere of loneliness and isolation.
I used 35mm kodak double X film to make this feeling stronger
