Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2021 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is a shot that I have always wanted to take: Corfe Castle above a sea of mist. The morning turned out much better that I could have imagined with the mist looking eerie as it swept through the castle, creating some wonderful shapes. With the uncluttered scene, I thought that a black and white conversion would suit the image - the darker castle standing aloft against the pale mist.
AUTHOR
I've enjoyed the natural world all my life; taking up many different hobbies and pastimes that incorporate this love of the outdoors: climbing, hiking, birdwatching, kayaking, travelling and even attaining a degree in Environmental Science.
From this, it was a natural progression to begin to capture these moments on camera, and this has enabled me to show others some of the amazing scenes I encounter in the UK and beyond.
