Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2021 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo was taken on Barrika Beach in Spain. On this coastal slice, you will feel the power of nature at its fullest. The area offers peculiar formations such as flysch, which is a band of laminated structure made of hard and soft rock from different geological periods. This beautiful, peculiar geological feature dates back to the era when dinosaurs went extinct. In addition, there is the tidal platform that can be seen from the top of the cliff at low tide.
To capture the full dynamic range of the scene I took two photos one for the sky and another for the foreground. The tide was rising and the water was pounding hard on the rock formations so with the help of a suitable exposure time I was able to capture a very dynamic scene in the movement of the water.
