ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Appropriately named bird rock, this rock has endured many storms and crashing waves. Bird Rock also provides a much needed resting spot for many bird species while hunting fish. A heavy marine layer of fog allowed me to use a long exposure to smooth out the ocean water.

AUTHOR
Nature is my therapy, whether I’ve had a good day, bad day, feel stressed or feel like celebrating an achievement, nature is my destination. Nature, to me, doesn’t have to be a far-off mountain peak or a remote part of the world. Sometimes nature can be my own backyard, smelling and touching flowers blooming flowers. I love hoping on my mountain bike, lacing up my hiking boots or going for a swim in the ocean but I don’t always have the luxury of time for these activities. More often than not my dose of nature consists of exploring a local park to photograph songbirds and local flora or just sitting in the grass listening to the wind. I have chosen Black and White photography as my form of expression and way to connect with the natural world around me.
