ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The photo was taken in one of the mushroom richest areas in the Netherlands.

This Coprinopsis legopus is a very fragile species.
Translucent and black and white in color.
The high-key version gives the photo a serene look.
The peace and tranquility that can be experienced in the forest.

AUTHOR
In 1992 I graduated at the vocational school Schoonhoven. After my study I started working as an independent entrepreneur and opened my own atelier. My work as a goldsmith includes designing and manufacturing gold and silver jewellery, whether or not provided with diamonds, pearls and/or other gemstones.
In addition to taking photographs of my jewellery, I am also working on nature- and landscape photography in my spare time. My field of expertise is taking photographs of fungi.
My profession balances between artist and craftsman, where beauty and craftmanship meet.
For me, taking a photograph is equivalent to creating a jewel.
