ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I was driving up a mountain on a hazy evening, trying to reach my shelter in time to get a good night's sleep and prepare for a gruesome hike the next morning. The fog was chasing me tirelessly, at every turn. Out of the corner of my eye I was lucky enough to see it climbing up a beautiful ridge. Without hesitation, I pulled the brakes, took my camera out and rushed to take this handheld shot before everything was completely shrouded with mist. The result was well worth driving in the fog for the remainder of the evening.
AUTHOR
I was born 28 years ago in a small town in Greece. Even though I had strong ties to photography, due to my mother being a photographer, it wasn't until I was 17 that I picked up a camera. Starting from film allowed me to understand the nuances of light better, making the switch to digital after a few years. My main inspiration has changed with time, starting with strong, imposing landscape shots, before evolving to wildlife and quiet, subdued images. I am a firm believer in black and white photography as the quintessential medium with which that fleeting temptress, light, evokes so much emotion.
