ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Photograph from a series called Black Holes. The project explores the way in which, subconsciously, humanity is stuck in a violent past. All photographs have been taken in landscapes changed by war. The project started in 2016 after having visited the battlefields surrounding Verdun and covers 29 locations in 6 countries. This is one of the last photographs taken as part of this project.
AUTHOR
I take pictures because I don’t own my voice yet feel the need to express myself. In my work I take a classical approach as for me aesthetics are the basis for dignity. It is the respect for the subject we study, for ourselves and for life in general. Giving up on beauty is giving up on life.
