ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Keraniganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh, 2020. Keraniganj, at the outskirts of Dhaka, is home of one of the largest shipyards in the country. It is estimated that this shipyard employs over15,000 work who work extensive hours for just few dollars. Safety measures are nonexistent and accidents are common.

Joaquin Barata is a Catalan travel photographer and development worker specialized in climate change and food security issues. Since 2016, he has been based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. His passion for human diversity, culture and traditions has led him to explore very remote areas across the globe, being particularly interested in portraying human diversity.
