Photojournalism: Honorable Mention 2021 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Neither the vaccine nor a mask is enough during this horrific pandemic. Prayer is also needed to help restore confidence. Some went to the extreme and traveled to one of the holiest places on earth, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Old City of Jerusalem. Lighting a candle of faith along with silent prayer for those that succumbed and those that survived.
AUTHOR
A lifelong admirer of the visual world, I discovered my love for photography at age six when I held my first camera and started seeing stories through a lens. During my professional career in business, time for photography remained scarce. Since retiring two years ago, I’ve embraced this long-held passion with renewed dedication, focusing on the art of black and white photography. This chapter is my creative renaissance, and I am committed to pushing the boundaries of excellence one frame at a time.
