ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Magic in the imagined, but touching on the real. A majestic animal of power in the animal kingdom, the jaguar. We are daily faced with contrasting realities, facing darkness against light, hope against despair, the imagined against reality.

I photographed this jaguar far away from its natural habitat. Day in and day out it had to walk around in a large yet contained area where each day resembled the other. With this image, I wanted to create magic for this beautiful animal and let it be a symbol for the search for beauty, magic and hope that we all strive for throughout our lives.

Pictures for this image are taken between 2019-2020. Composite finalised in 2021.

Sara Victoria Sandberg is a photo composite artist based in Stockholm. Sara has always had a great love for the arts and has pursued the medium of watercolors for many years. Sara developed her skills in digital photo artistry through attending various courses and has developed a personal style in her work where she combines photography and digital painting with her artistic vision. She works with light and shadow to mold the scene she visualizes into a finished piece adopting a combination of photo-realism and painterly style.
