ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Megan is an amateur model who was such an easy going, relaxed person that I was both relaxed and tense for our shoot. Those personalities that wasn't being awkward but wasn't being demanding in her own self image. She presented herself as Megan the person, not Megan the model. This made my job easy as a photographer to build rapport and keep the shoot flowing nicely. What made me tense was that I had still had to execute these photographs because I wanted her to receive good images too. To add more pressure on myself, I was using a 4x5 camera. I enjoy giving people great images as much as a great experience in front of the camera and the 4x5 setup breaks a lot of the tension, which leaves me to do the heavy lifting when taking the photo. This shot was my "warm-up" shot that I typically take to show each model how the general routine works. Take exposure settings, focus, tell model to stay still, click the shutter, and then relax. For a warm-up shot, I was impressed at how well this turned out.
