A man, with his mask, passes through a blade of light surrounded by darkness, which represents the gloomy period that the whole world is experiencing with the pandemic
AUTHOR
I was born on January 5, 1969 in La Loggia (To) and I have lived in Poirino (To) since September 1998. I approached the world of photography after buying my first SLR a Yashica FX 103P. Over the years, interest in photography has become more and more intense. Reading books and magazines I was able to learn the fundamental concepts of photographic technique, but thanks to the attendance of the CF La Fonte di Carmagnola and the comparison with the partners I was able to improve my way of photographing. I owe a lot to the president Cosimo Desantis who introduced me to b / w photography and development and printing techniques. Together with Clara Garigliano and Moreno Strazza in 2005 we concretized the idea of setting up the "Romolo Nazzaro" Poirinese Photographic Circle, of which I am today the president. Since 2008 I have been a member of the UIF (Italian Union of amateurs).
During these years I have participated in several competitions with some good placings. In particular I want to remember the first prize in the DVD section of the XXVII National Exhibition of Photography organized by the Photographic Group "Fata Morgana" of Reggio Calabria in 2005, with a series of images of Paris, images also published in the June 2005 issue of the magazine "fotografare ".
In recent years I have used several cameras, but I am inextricably linked to the NIKON brand. I used an F801S and then an F90X and also an all manual FM from the 70s. For a couple of years I have gone digital, first with a D1X and now with the D500.
