ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I was in Oceanside, California when I took this shot. The sun was starting to set and I saw this young lady getting ready to go surfacing. I liked my composition and framed the shot and waited for the right moment and took the shot. The moment felt really empowering as she was about to go conquer the waves that were starting to form. Her shadow and the direction she was facing really added another element to the photo. I felt black and white gave the photo a more dramatic effect.
