ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The harsh, rugged alpine environment from Alaska to the Rocky Mountains is home to the mountain goats. I am always amazed by their ability to navigate steep mountain cliffs with ease. I photographed this mountain goat in one of the coves near Homer, Alaska. As our boat docked at the sandbar, a herd of these goats was spooked and wanted to reach higher grounds. I was able to get a few shots of them climbing up the cliff as they started to move higher up.
