“A profound encounter”
I met this bison in the north of Germany in a paddock. Despite a fence that separated us, I felt awe and the powerful appearance of this animal in every fiber of my body. When I look at this photo, I see the situation in front of me again true to detail: This intense look that tries to classify me as a friend or an enemy.
AUTHOR
To me, photography is a form of meditation and mindfulness. I view the world through a different lens, consciously noticing details and allowing moments to linger longer. I often spend a considerable amount of time contemplating photographs, relishing the opportunity to discover shapes, tonalities, contrasts, and, of course, the stories behind each image. I only recently delved deeply into photography, but I already know it is a passion that will always be a part of my life’s journey. It has opened my eyes to a completely new way of experiencing the world.
I have been an amateur photographer since October 2020, and this is my first participation in the Monoawards.
