“A profound encounter”
I met this bison in the north of Germany in a paddock. Despite a fence that separated us, I felt awe and the powerful appearance of this animal in every fiber of my body. When I look at this photo, I see the situation in front of me again true to detail: This intense look that tries to classify me as a friend or an enemy.
AUTHOR
To me photography is a form of meditation and mindfulness. I literally see the world through a different lens, I perceive details more consciously and allow moments to linger longer. I generally look at photos for a very long time. It is a pleasure to discover shapes, tonalities, contrasts and, of course, the story behind the picture. I only recently discovered photography extensively for myself and I already knew that it belongs to me and will always be part of my life journey. Quite simply because I suddenly perceive the world on a completely different level.
I’m an amateur photographer since October 2020. This is my first participation at Monoawards.
