Early morning in Nairobi National Park, Kenya, are gorgeous.. the air is crisp and clean and you leave all thoughts of city life behind you. I decided to drive in no particular direction, letting my subconscious guide me on which left and right to take. Abruptly, I came across two black rhinos facing off and charging at each other. The rhino on the left was the more aggressive and with an intent and focus that never wavered kept charging into the rhino on the right, which was having the worst of it, bleeding in many places on the side of its horns, flanks and neck. The rhino on the right kept screeching, either in panic or desperation, as it slowly started to retreat, however the other rhino would just not let it go quietly and kept up the pressure and the aggression. I captured this moment, in which, to me at least, the step / ledge seemed to signify the border or their territories and the acacia tree a border flag (capture the flag moment). In the end, the rhino on the right, thoroughly defeated, managed to limp off into the bush and disappeared from sight, whilst the victor, enjoyed some time in the sun, before also disappearing into the bush.
