ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo is part of an ongoing project titled "Solid Dreams" where architectural details are extracted from context and transformed into somewhat abstract and metaphysical images. This photo in particular is from a detail of the roof of the "Haus der Kulturen der Welt" in Berlin, Germany.

AUTHOR
Born in Rome, Italy, in 1961.
At the very basic level photography is for me mainly a tool to investigate from an artistic point of view the relations between space and form which become manifest through geometry and simmetry. This is reflected into an interest in architectural photography, with a particular attention to modern architecture, where I use a rigorous black and white and post-production techniques in an attempt to reach abstraction by transcending realism.
My artistic inspiration can be traced back to the metaphysical painting, to the geometric intricacies of Escher, to the essential architectures of Hopper, to the ambiguities of Magritte.
