ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Inspired by surrealism from a young age, it allowed me to expand on reality and blend dreams and imagination with the real world.
Our imagination is more powerful than we realize. It can be a very powerful tool to escape but also to transform the world around us.
Photography is one of those tools that allow us to create fleeting moments that reveal this to the world.

AUTHOR
Sander Vos (b. 1988, The Netherlands) is a photographer based in London. His work contains an element of Surrealism, blending Fine Art with Portraiture. Allowing his subjects to be immersed in a state of contemplation, Vos sets out to veil as much as to reveal, leaving gaps for the viewer to fill in.
Inspired by his background in Design, he embraces light and contrast as devices to carve out his graphic compositions.
His work has recently been exhibited at Photo London 2020 and has received recognition from the AOP Awards as well as several honourable mentions at the IPA 21.
