ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I use black and white because it allows me to play on the tone of each level of gray, which also translate the difference of the materials. The bark of a tree or the texture of a concrete diving board will contrast and contrast with the water of the lake so smooth and without any roughness, when it is calm.
In another way, each living being, each object will not reflect the light in the same way according to its color, we can speak of tonal contrasts. Other contrasts still exist with the crossing of vertical lines and horizontal lines, playing with verticality and horizontality can sometimes cause some chaos. Why use these contrasts, what is their strength?
Many philosophers are convinced that there can be no knowledge without opposition or similarities. The photographs of the lake, in black and white, are a way of expressing these contrasts and analogies while passing through shades of gray. I also seek to propose a particular look, a different angle of view composed of light and shadow, smooth material and other rough but also some that are in the light and others in the shade.

After working as a professional photographer, working for large companies and travelling around the world living exclusively from photography for many years, In 2015, I decided to change my professional orientation by completely abandoning the profession of photographer. Since then, I have not made any illustration photographs, but I am doing research to get closer to artistic photography.

Today, by having a professional orientation that is not based on photography, I realize my passion by no longer having to endure the pressure of orders and the fact of doing a job that pleases my sponsors without being satisfied.

I haven’t lost sight of becoming a professional photographer again, but I try to work only by producing my photographs as I see fit and then try to sell them, but I no longer wait for an order to get my camera out. I became my own sponsor.
