ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The piece is about abstraction with the body. The shape of her body almost resembles a teardrop hence the title. Most people cry when they are vulnerable and photographing the subject like this made her vulnerable in some way relating to the teardrop shape.
AUTHOR
Bryce Frimming is a Fine Artist currently residing in Southern Indiana. He’s received a B.S. in Art with a Photography emphasis and a minor in Graphic Design from the University of Southern Indiana.
Bryce balances digital & analog photography mediums in his artistic endeavors, but his work also branches out into other art forms. These other art forms consist of printmaking, digital collages and digital illustrations. All of these art pieces fall under the name “Lost Akuma”. Lost Akuma is the encompassing title to the work he has created since 2019. Akuma is Japanese for evil spirits or demon and Bryce believes everyone either faces internal conflict or exhibit unbalanced behavior before they find inner peace. Inner peace is a journey, and the artwork is created to pick out reflective moments of life along his path. It also depicts the many experiences and emotions he may face through life.
Bryce loves to make his viewers to stop and think about their own philosophy’s while challenging it at the same time. By remaining a Journeyman of artistry, living in the present, and remaining at the helm of life, Bryce explores his boundaries daily.
