Portrait: Honorable Mention 2021 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I spent two years photographing in total immersion the reservists of the 6th and 7th company of the 21st RIMa of Fréjus, and the School of Light Aviation of the Army of Cane of the Moors. "Reservists" offers a new vision of these men who make the Army a vocation. Out of their daily lives, they put their time at the service of the nation. They are dual citizens because they contribute to the defence of the nation but also have civilian professional activities. They are lawyers, painters, businessmen, but they are also reservists.
Master Corporal Axelle is a professor of biology at a college. Within the company, she provides high-intensity hand-to-hand combat training C4. She is one of the few women qualified as a C4 Monitor. It places these civilian skills at the service of its comrades in education by involving itself in the training of young recruits
