Portrait: Honorable Mention 2021 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Self-portrait inspired by the figure and historical portraits of Grigorij Rasputin, inspired only by the profound seriousness of both the subject photographed and the seriousness with which the moment of the shot was experienced.
We are talking about an era in which people's smiles were not as bright as today which could have been one of the reasons why people did not smile but I think the main reason was the fact of social status because being photographed was more of the "rich" thing. than the poor, and even then, for many families it was a particularly special occasion and etiquette for formal occasions was to act “proper”.
