ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In an attempt to get as close as possible, I have tried to express the unique and powerful features of a wasp.
As a fifteen-year-old, I enjoyed having my own microscope, watching fabrics, dust, and insects highly magnified. To refind this joy, but also to have a more three-dimensional feel to the imagery, I reversed a Zeiss 15mm Distagon, and added six extension rings.
I found a dusty wasp in my hallway that I used as my model.
Watching the images and fine-tuning the look and feel was a real treat.
