Architecture: Honorable Mention 2022 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Chrysler Building, New York. USA
(Taken with Leica SL2; Voightlander Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5)
This was the most interesting Photo I have taken, as its almost immediately after leaving the Grand Central Station exit to Lexington Avenue, one must look straight up. As this was a busy area, I came back on a Sunday when the street was less hectic and plonked a tripod on the street and aimed the camera literally straight up, that required me to lie on ground and look up at the screen to frame the shot. It was manual focus as the lens was a 15mm M Mount lens with adapter. I tried the sensor shift option and used the Leica remote app as a trigger to avoid any camera shake. The DNG file was some 320MB in size.
First Photo that I have got a large print framed and first image I entered into a Photo Salon to win an award. The jeans i wore still has some asphalt marks from the street. :) - This lead me to do a series of Photos looking straight up for a different view of some NY buildings.
