When Trakl visited Salzburg once again #1 by Sven-Kristian Wolf (Austria)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This image is part of the series "When Trakl visited Salzburg once again."
Georg Trakl was a well-known expressionist Austrian poet, born in Salzburg , died in 1914 at the age of 27. His poems often describe depressions - in perfectly beautiful words.
What I did in this series is to try to see todays Salzburg with Trakls eyes - as if he would have visited Salzburg again and been driven by his fears and depressions.
As his poems come from expressionism I decided to work with douple-exposure and massive overexposure. To make the depressive mood perfect I used a self-made layer. This image shows the Residenzbrunnen (residence fountain) in the center of Salzburg.
