ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Ichthyology is the science that deals with the study of fish.

The fish stock is studied by catching fish at regular intervals. in the Dutch coastal waters this is mostly done with standing fyke nets. A fyke net is made from a bag-shaped net held open by hoops. These can be linked together in long chains, whether or not provided with one or more wings at the front.

The trap is attached to sticks stuck in the ground.

I am a portrait and landscape photographer living in Zaventem close to Brussels, Belgium. I want to highlight as much as possible the image, the moment, the emotion and the light while eliminating as much as possible distracting side elements.
