Tip of the pier. by James Reed (United Kingdom)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Taken on a clear morning in Whitby I set up my camera to capture a long exposure of one of the piers that stretch out into the sea. Having the pier positioned in the far right of the composition helps connote the vastness of the ocean and a sense of isolation.
AUTHOR
I am an amateur photographer from Leeds. I have been interested in photography ever since I went on a colleague trip to Barcelona and happened to be the student without an SLR camera. After seeing the quality of the pictures they were taking I know I had to get one. The following Christmas I received a canon camera. I enjoy the creative process when taking and developing an image. I hope to inspire people to get out and enjoy the landscape.
