ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The dying of trees in the highlands of the Harz Mountains (Harz National Park in Germany) in the last 10+ years has resulted in a multitude of interesting wooden sculptures created by nature. Here the powerful root system of a dead spruce tree that was knocked over by the storm.
AUTHOR
Hans-Joachim Gleichmann is a non-professional photographer specialized in landscape and nature photography since 40 Years. He lives in the Harz mountains in Germany where he find his motives in the variate mountain landscape of the Harz National Park. Hans-Joachim was a lawyer in his profession, Now that he's retired, he has enough time to use old analogue methods of black and white photography, who he has known since he was young. But most of the time he uses digitization to finish the images.
