Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2022 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I shot this image on the last of 5 days exploring the cypress forest of Caddo Lake in Texas. As spectacular as the the backlit cypress trees and spanish moss were, this wonderful "tunnel" we guided our small boat through represented the epitome of what the lake was all about-- Mysterious, beautiful, overwhelming.
AUTHOR
I’ve always loved the outdoors and traveling—camping, hiking, exploring for wildlife, and visiting places around the world. Over the years my interest in nature and wildlife photography has taken me to China, Peru, Iceland, Namibia, Costa Rica, South Africa, Italy, all 50 US states, Canada and Mexico.I have been able to combine this love with my love for photography. I consider myself a wildlife and outdoor photographer which entails everything from photographing all kinds of wildlife, to birds to exotic landscapes to insects and flowers to waterways and waterfalls. The quest for the ultimate image at the ultimate time of day with the ultimate light is never ending and ever exciting.
