ENTRY DESCRIPTION
An early winter snowstorm provides a subtle background in a long exposure photograph of the Temperance River as it cuts through ancient lava flows. A few icicles are just beginning to form near the water's edge. The photograph's composition contrasts the river's motion with the unchanging detail of surrounding rocks. The image was taken in Temperance River State Park near Schroeder, Minnesota.
