Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2022 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
"Affection"
When I saw these two trees I immediately noticed the human element. Two people leaning in to each other. Sharing kindness, tenderness, love and affection.
The Island that I took this photograph on is Rottnest Island in Perth Western Australia. The history of the use of the Island is quite harsh.
It was used as a prison for the native aboriginal people and later as an internment camp during the first and second world wars.
It seemed to me that the trees in this region, especially these two were expressing the underlying loving nature of all things.
