Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2022 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is Cromwell's Castle on the island of Tresco, one of the Isles of Scilly, just off the coast of Cornwall, UK. The little peninsular on the left is the neighbouring island of Bryher. It was a very still day and I liked the (almost) meeting of the islands. I was aiming for a minimal long exposure photograph and I particularly liked the long shadow of the castle in the water in the foreground. This was taken in May 2022.
AUTHOR
I'm a keen amateur photographer with a passion for minimalist, abstract and otherworldly images. This kind of photography allows me to create and quite frankly escape a little bit from 'reality.' I live in rural North Wiltshire in the UK but through my job I have had the opportunity to travel far and wide. I particularly like seascapes but dabble in all kinds of landscape. Currently use Fuji GFX kit.
