ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Taken along the banks of the Ashokan Reservoir in the Catskills, NY. A relic of an ancient river delta that used to flow in modern day central New York, this mountain range now serves as a beautiful backdrop for visitors to enjoy, This summer day was dominated by periods of sun and showers. This photo was taken as one of those showers drifted in from of these stacked mountains, producing a gradient of grays.

AUTHOR
Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, NY, I very easily took the beautiful landscapes that were a stone's throw away from my front door for granted growing up. When I picked up a nice camera for the first time in High School, it literally changed my life. Photography gives me a second chance to enjoy the world in my backyard, and to soak in the here and now for just a moment. I use the knowledge I gained in my professional career of meteorology to predict and anticipate good lighting whenever I'm out in the world shooting landscapes or street photography.
