ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This Photo was taken in Colombia.

In the famous Cocora valley are growing hundreds of palms.
These so-called Wax palm is the national tree of Colombia.
They are about 60 meters in length.
The palm on the foreground is just the top part of the tree.
An extraordinary landscape.

AUTHOR
In 1992 I graduated at the vocational school Schoonhoven. After my study I started working as an independent entrepreneur and opened my own atelier. My work as a goldsmith includes designing and manufacturing gold and silver jewellery, whether or not provided with diamonds, pearls and/or other gemstones.
In addition to taking photographs of my jewellery, I am also working on nature- and landscape photography in my spare time. My field of expertise is taking photographs of fungi.
My profession balances between artist and craftsman, where beauty and craftmanship meet.
For me, taking a photograph is equivalent to creating a jewel.
