ENTRY DESCRIPTION
There are a million photos of Joshua Trees, and it's hard to take a bad picture of something with such a unique form, but I found this one standing alone and thought the composition of the lone tree, with a shadow from its neighbor, and the rocks and sky, really interesting.
AUTHOR
I have been a hobbyist photographer all my life, generally feeling like I want to capture the magic I see around me, take it home, and share it with others.
The past two years I have been dealing with a severe chronic illness which leaves me with lots of time on my hands. In addition, due to the nature of the illness, I have needed to spend time out in remote desert areas. In these locations, and with time on my hands, I have returned to photography as a way to capture my experience, document my healing journey, and share my story.
