ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The image was taken at Kiskunsag, Hungary. There are a couple of small saline lakes nearby under protection, partly as National Park reserve and partly as a private nature foundation protected area. I regularly visit the lakes to take images of shorebird species like avocet, stilt, redshanks.
There are no built hides, no feeding, it's pure natural.
I heard a lively beep from the reeds, and it sounded louder and louder. Suddenly two spotted redshanks jumped out, a fox jogging behind them. Seemed like a game -Catch me if you can, but the fox had no chance the birds always flew away a bit more. It was more likely an attempt was to keep the fox away from the nest. Finally the fox walked away, hungry.
The photo was taken from ground level, laying in the mud, using camouflage net.
