ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The form is separated from reality and the spaces between the parts take center stage. Without looking for it, they make us think about the properties of photography. It manages to make us stop, and perpetually show an instant. The "almost" of this photograph is fundamental.
AUTHOR
Born in 1970, she got her BA degree in Political Sciences and International Relations at the Universidad Católica Argentina and MA in Political Sciences from Columbia University. She founded Germinare Foundation in 2001, which she runs to the present day. In year 2000, she had her first formal encounter with photography at the New School of New York. She took part in Sofía Huidobro’s art workshop and clinic for 6 years. In 2014, she enrolled in Alberto Goldenstein’s photography workshop and, has studied drawing with Eduardo Stupía for three years until 2019. She has entered the BA Photo exhibition from 2016 to 2020. She’s also part of the Argentine Contemporary Art Fair (FACA for its acronym in Spanish) in 2018. That same year, she showed the “Sinapsis” exhibit in OdA Art Gallery, curated by Eduardo Stupía. In August, she showed “Dimensiones de Lo Mismo” at OdA Gallery curated by Goldenstein. In November 2019, her show “Sinapsis” was hosted at the Argentine Embassy in Washington DC. In February 2020, her show "Sinapsis" was exhibited at the Argentine Consulate in New York. One of her most recent series, “Mother Zoe” (a cultural artistic project), was selected and will be sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires to be exhibited this November (2021). The curator of A”madre zoe” is Eduardo Stupia.
