Photomanipulation: Honorable Mention 2022 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In October 2021 I started to experiment a lot, looking for my own style of photography. I wanted to make photos of nature that aren't recognizable immediately and edit my pictures more fiercely instead of staying close to the original image that I saw in the field, like I used to do.
What you see is grass alongside a canal in my town. I inverted the colors after making the picture black and white.
AUTHOR
Hieke combines her love for minimalistic powerful images with her love for a miksang kind of style together with experimenting and her particular look at the world. She started to take photos as a kid and was known for both her eye for detail and broad interests. She has picked up her photography hobby again recently and is quickly developing her own style. She also started working on series and photo stories. Her motto is: "It's the details that count." A lot of Hiekes photos show details or only parts of a subject. Less is definately more.
