AUTHOR
Joseph Aieta is a French art photographer from Nice. Self-taught, he has practised photography since childhood. He draws his influences from the greatest masters of his field (including Man Ray, Sarah Moon, and Daido Moriyama) but also from his travels. Never standing still and never without his camera, he aims to heighten day-to-day life. Every day, he sees the world anew, constantly on the lookout for moments of beauty and poetry. Far from seeking technical perfection, the artist favours emotions. At the heart of his creative process, emotions thus influence the image processing – black and white or colour – as well as his choice of camera or accessories. Traditional film, instant film, digital, or pinhole camera, the Nice-based artist selects the most appropriate camera for the desired result. The beauty of textures and materials emanate from his images, offering the public a photographic journey along the byways of dreams.
